·      to review your insurance coverage so you understand your policy coverages and exclusions. Also, your policy may have helpful information as to what a home/property owner should and should not do if there is hurricane damage to your home/property.

·      to review your flood and wind coverage

·      to create a list of items you should have on hand such as water, flashlights, radio, blankets, etc.

·      to make a list of things to do in the event of a hurricane such as shut off the electricity, gas and water, check rain gutters/downspouts for clogs, etc.

·      to help you locate your local hurricane evacuation center

·      to assist you in finding a place for your animals during an evacutation to a shelter

·     to provide your agent a  list of personal contacts to inform that you are safe after a storm
